About Me
Hey! I'm Moeen, an Electrical & Computer Engineering student (graduating Dec
2026) with industry experience in design for manufacturability, product design, and
technical program management. I am also creating my own degree at Harvard right now, an
interdisciplinary Bachelor of Science
degree called "Humanitarian Engineering".
Why? Well, I care most about creating things that improve people's lives. It's why I
imbue energy and
inventiveness into everything I do. It's why I am always seeking to push the technological
envelope with my Harvard & MIT coursework. It's why I am mission-driven about solving real
problems to improve lives.
I try my best to cultivate genuine relationships and create community as a part of my philosophy
of creating impact on all levels. Whether it's someone in Kibuone, Kenya, or a
first-time product user, I specialize in putting myself in different shoes and using first
principles to solve the problems that matter most. Now, I plan on bringing my creativity,
ambition,
curiosity, and more to wherever I go next!

It's a fun side project that allows me to blend my design and videography/photography skills together with my interest in consumer products. I truly enjoy learning through project work and challenging myself to build functional products... all while documenting and editing it in a creative way!

Designed & built a custom phone, earbud, and smart watch dock!

Made both a mechanical and electrical enclosure for turning an Apple Watch into an iPod.

Featured Projects
Hardware Engineering Internship @ Amazon Robotics
- Designed over 8 fixture assemblies (Solidworks) for Amazon Robotics' biggest upcoming product, including all engineering documentation
- Helped with planning, strategy, & execution for a new $2.6M infrastructure project; primary communicator to 7 internal teams/external contractors
- Prevented 3 critical failures (scheduling miscommunication, contractor mistake, and design testing) & saved $25K+ as interim technical program manager
- Began a new organizational process, directly working across three layers of management to design, establish, and introduce engineering initiative
Manufacturing Engineering Internship @ Formlabs
- Owned new sensor testing validation fixture (with mechanical & electrical subassemblies), designing, machining, & testing it for Form 4 NPI
- Developed standard operating procedures for Form 4 final assembly, including testing & maintenance protocols
- Machined emergency parts (with no do-overs) to a 10-micron tolerance for contract manufacturers in Taiwan
- Worked across Manufacturing & Mechanical Engineering teams for a new initiative to reduce Fuse 1+ testing time by designing a new test model
Apple Watch iPod
- Created mechanical & electrical enclosures that transforms an Apple Watch into an iPod-like device
- Designed product from scratch, taking inspiration from a current competitor that charges $50 (made it for <$1)
- Wrote custom software that communicated with the Apple Watch over Bluetooth using an ESP32 micro-controller
- Finalized after 9 iterations of product design to achieve final form factor & packaging

Moment in Time
- A custom clock with a mechanical shutter inspired by my interest in cameras & photography
- Calculated & derived arc lengths/mechanism geometry to design a working shutter with 3 levels of rotating gears (see sketch image)
- Programmed using an Arduino to sense touch & trigger a meditative program

Glowing Embers
- A custom wooden lamp exhibiting a unique product design & burned finish
- Experienced multiple design iterations; final design selected for lighting ability & geometric logic
- Wood-worked/manufactured the frame and sautered the lighting myself

Electric Longboard
Built, wired, & (most importantly) rode custom motorized longboard
Water Kiosk (Engineers Without Borders)
Designing 100K liter water tank kiosk system with Revit & engineering analysis tools. Designed transmission valve box built in Los Sanchez, DR.
Combat Robot
An antweight combat robot designed and 3D printed (SLS, SLA) for Formlabs' annual hackathon.
Robot with Grabber Arm
Created overall CAD assembly & built grabber arm, winning "Best CAD" & 2nd in Harvard competition

Project Intern @ SAMSAT
Developed product roadmap & back-end + CAD models for machine learning scanner app that recognized exhibits and displayed explanatory 3D models for 100K+ visitors.

MIT Online Science, Technology, Engineering Community
Interviewed Nobel Laureate & wrote award winning scientific article on carbon capture. Created climate simulation for a nuclear powered carbon capture system.
